Light Abstracts

The images on this page are based on what has become a traditional method of creating abstract photographs—a dark background with multiple mixed light sources, long exposures and a moving camera.  Digital processing, however, allows the photographer ever greater opportunities for experimentation.

While these images are photographs and so are, in their way, accurate representations of the world, they bear apparent similarities to drawings and paintings, and even with Rorschach ink bolts.
